• REACH Compliance is now a Research Preview. The first time you open the module you'll see a short set of preview terms to accept — it's new, it's evolving, and your feedback shapes it. Acceptance is recorded per user, and from now on REACH records keep a full audit trail of who created or changed what.

• Evidence behind a submitted declaration is protected. Once you've submitted to the authority, the records that back it can't be changed silently: corrections ask for a short reason (kept in the audit trail), and instead of deleting, records are marked entered in error — struck through, kept for the record, and excluded from your figures. Anything recorded after submission works as normal.

• Indoor ranges join range management. Managed indoor ranges now get the compliance hub too — maintenance plans, bullet-catcher backstops, lead inventory, reclamations and waste consignments. The REACH-specific parts (declaration, site profile, soil & water) stay outdoor-only, and indoor ranges simply don't see them.

• Indoor maintenance, the NRA way. Adopting the NRA schedule on an indoor range's bullet catcher now also plans the indoor essentials: a specialist deep clean at the frequency the NRA recommends for your rate of fire (worked out from your shooting records), routine dust-control checks, and a ventilation system check. Steel plate / snail traps are now a backstop type with their own monthly empty-and-inspect tasks.

• A timeline for every range. The hub's new Timeline tab shows everything that's happened on a range in one chronological feed — shooting days with rounds fired and lead added, reclamations, samples, actions, waste consignments and declaration submissions — with one-tap filters to show just the types you want.

🔨 Improvements

• Cleaning schedules are superseded by the maintenance plan. Clubs with range management get one place to plan all upkeep — by time or rounds fired — so the old per-location cleaning schedules are no longer offered there. Existing schedules keep working, with a pointer to recreate them as planned tasks when you're ready.

• Much better on your phone. The compliance hub's tables no longer scroll sideways on mobile — the key facts stack under the first column, whole rows are tappable, and header buttons wrap properly. The pH stepper no longer triggers double-tap zoom, so you can tap away at speed.

• Lane tracking — as much or as little as you want. Ranges can now record which lane each shooting-record entry was on (off, optional or required, per range). Lanes feed the per-backstop lead estimates: lane-recorded shooting is attributed exactly, and everything else still uses the share-based estimate, so the numbers stay right however much detail your club records. ROs can mark a session as "opened up" (practical shooting across the whole range) on the range log, which switches lanes off for that session.

• NRA guideline maintenance schedules. One tap on a backstop adds the NRA handbook's recommended upkeep to your maintenance plan — for example de-leading sand traps every 20,000 rounds per lane and a monthly rake-and-inspect. Tasks can now come due by rounds fired as well as by date: Range Mate counts your shooting records per backstop and flags the task when the threshold passes.
