# 4th Oct 26

## :sparkles: New

* Each online provider's page now has a grid of its payment types against **one-off payments** (bookings, upfront and junior fees) and **monthly and quarterly plans**, so a club can keep Direct Debit for plans only and take bookings by card or bank transfer. The providers page in the docs has a capability matrix (what each takes, plans, refunds, test mode, whether types can be chosen per payment).

## :hammer: Improvements

* Activating an online provider now adds it to every membership price that took card before, so nothing needs archiving and recreating. A price members are already on can change which methods it takes (its amount and billing type stay fixed), and the old Stripe price id column only shows for clubs still on a linked Stripe account.
* When you join part way through the membership year, the upfront price now says it's **pro-rata** for the months left, shows the date it runs to, and notes that full price applies when you renew. It used to read as a discount for joining in a particular month.

## :bug::hammer: Bug Fixes

* Some members saw "Access Denied" instead of the payment page when paying online, most often for the first instalment of a new membership that wasn't active yet (for example straight after their application was approved). Trainees and visitors paying for a booking could hit it too. Fixed: anyone can open and finish a payment they started. Pressing Pay again works and nothing needs tidying up.
* Changing the **membership type** on a subscription that was already paid for, or being paid by a monthly or quarterly plan, left the price and the instalments on the old type's amount. The type is now fixed once a subscription is paid for or on a plan: add a new subscription for the other type and end the current one. On an unpaid subscription, changing the type moves it onto the new type's default price.
* **Move to a new payment** on the Card payment plans page failed with an error instead of ending the card plan and opening the replacement membership. Fixed; nothing was changed for the members it failed on, so admins can simply try again.
