# Documents on Your Guns

Attaching documents like a Police Form 11 or variation letter to one of your guns

You can keep paperwork for a gun in one place by attaching files to it, such as a Police notification (Form 11), a variation letter, proof marks or a receipt. The files stay with that gun, so you can find them again whenever you need them.

## Adding documents

1. Go to **My Guns** and open the gun you want to add files to.
2. Select **Edit**.
3. Under **Documents**, choose one or more files to upload, then save.

You can attach up to **5 files** per gun. Each file can be up to **2MB**, and can be a **PDF, JPEG, PNG or HEIC** (the format most phones use for photos). Anything else, or a file that's too big, is turned away with a message explaining why.

The edit page shows how many of your 5 slots you've used.

## Viewing and removing documents

Open the gun to see its documents listed with the file name, when it was uploaded and its size. Select **Download** to open or save a copy. To take a file off a gun, select the delete button next to it and confirm.

Your documents aren't public. Only you and your club's admins can view, download or remove the files on your guns, and the download links can't be shared or guessed by anyone else. If you remove a gun, its documents are removed with it.
